Kath is a local potter, based at her home studio, Piwakawaka Studio which is nestled amongst giant puriri, unfurling ponga fronds, nikau palms and other tropical delights and where tui, fantails and kereru are regular visitors along with many other feathered friends. It is this environment which inspires Kath’s work and her love of nature is reflected in it. Discovering clay was life-changing for Kath, allowing creativity to blossom and learning endless possibilities through the inspirational people she has met on her journey-with some failures along the way!
