Heather Kremen
Heather has been working with glass since 2007 and is the owner of Amokura Glass in Rotorua where she creates decorative and functional fine art glass. Heather is passionate about glass art and works to share her passion with everyone from tamariki to nga kaumatua. Her purpose is to teach and share her knowledge of glass and contribute to a thriving glass art community in Aotearoa New Zealand.
In her art practice, Heather specialises in blown glass in simple elegant forms, sometimes incorporating intricate textile-inspired fused murrine tile patterns. In 2019 one of her pieces won the Toi Ohomi “Innovation in Art” award.
