Andi Hoffman

Andi’s first pottery class in 2013 triggered a love affair with the unlimited potential of clay and the very messy creative process that comes with it. After spending many hours in a community studio Andi decided in 2019 to branch out and has been creating distinctive nature-inspired ceramics ever since.

Before pursuing ceramics full time, Andi studied Biology, Environmental Science and Conservation and it was through these programmes, while living on the west coast of Canada, that an immense passion for protecting the wildlife and habitats on the coastal temperate rainforest developed. Now living in New Zealand, Andi is passionate about the intersections of art, activism, and nature, and incorporates this exploration throughout current work.
