Claire Nicholls

Claire is a local sculptor who works with a variety of natural mediums including clay, wood and metals, and who is fascinated with the transformation of these materials by torching, firing and lighting as well as chemical reactions - as is evident in her treatment of recycled copper to make Manta Rays with an aged, sea-worn appearance, full of character and movement.
